Best oral communication price
6 oral presentations will be selected from the submitted abstracts.
The prize awarded to the best oral communication will be used to cover the registration fees for a conference before November 2025 (maximum contribution of €250). The prizewinner must thank the GDR in the communication he or she produces for the conference.

Sigma-hole interactions encompass a wide range of non-covalent interactions such as halogen, chalcogen and pnictogen bonds. These highly directional interactions all involve atoms with an electron-deficient area, known as a sigma-hole, located at the outermost end of the sigma-bond. This sigma-hole allows the atoms to interact non-covalently with an electron-rich area, opening up a new field of research whose applications have been growing since the beginning of the 21st century. In this context of highly competitive research, interdisciplinary collaboration between researchers in this field is essential.
The GDR Sigma-Hole was created with the aim to accelerate and facilitate the structuring of French research in this field, in order to enhance its visibility, particularly in Europe. This GDR is multidisciplinary since it brings together numerous laboratories working in various themes of chemistry, ranging from reactivity in solution (organic and analytical chemistry, catalysis, molecular recognition) to theoretical chemistry (computational chemistry, modeling) including solid state organization (crystallography, materials and surface chemistry, solid state engineering).
The 2nd annual scientific days of the GDR Sigma-Hole will take place over two half-days, June 16 and 17, 2025 in Orsay, Henri Moissan Buliding, Paris-Saclay University. You are invited to register either to present your work, or to exchange with researchers from all backgrounds who make up this GDR.
Henri Moissan Building
The 2 half-day sessions will take place in the Hervé Daniel amphitheater (HM2) in the Biology Chemistry Pharmacy Henri Moissan Building at the Paris-Saclay Université (17 avenue des Sciences, Orsay).
